Pepperfry makes customers pay for disposing goods infested with termites
After a stinging email and some social media posts, Pepperfry promised to pick up the damaged furniture. They did it.
After I mailed Pepperfry regarding the issue, they said they would pick up the infested cabinet. They're scheduled to do it today.
I'm literally paying for my mistakes by dealing with Pepperfry. I ordered a bar cabinet which turned up infested with termites.
After telling me theyโd replace it, and then informing me that they had no more in stock (the termites probably ate them all), they called a day later to say they couldnโt send anyone to pick up the infested bar, and I would have to dispose it off myself! Itโs a heavy cabinet that I canโt just pick up and put into the garbage.
I will have to pay someone to carry it away and dispose it!
2 wardrobes also turned up damaged. And then, so did the replacement wardrobe, after which I asked for a refund.
Not only is my money stuck with Pepperfry (refunds are processed in 7-10 days), but I also have to pay for disposing off their damaged goods!
Those planning to buy from Pepperfry, don't say you weren't warned!
